Once upon a time...

starting fresh

everyone has a past. unfortunately, most people tend to focus more on the past than the present or future. it’s not a bad thing. it’s just a way of letting that person know what happened and what you’ve done. fortunately, there’s a way to “fix” it.

it’s called starting fresh. yes, it seems risque but it will teach you how much you don’t know about yourself. make sense? if not, i’ll give you an example:

i know this girl who made a lot of mistakes. she was a rebel. she lied, she cheated, she did stupid things. what do you expect from a teenager? anyways, she lost her virginity at a very young age and she regrets it. the way she lost it was the wrong way. she promised herself that she would wait until she gets married. she didn’t want to lose it to the wrong person. no offense to the person she lost it to, but he wasn’t the right one. with that, she started doing things that she would never do. i won’t say what she did, but it was pretty stupid. with that, a lot of people started to find out what she did. i felt bad for her because they were being too hard on her instead of trying to help her. so in short, she was stupid.

a few years later, she decided to move to a new place and start fresh. she started to see the world in a whole new way. she knows what she did was wrong and she wishes to turn back time and make sure none of that happened. unfortunately, life doesn’t work that way. you just have to leave the past where it belongs: the past. she doesn’t bring back anything from the past and tries her best to just forgive and forget. as for the people who made her life a living hell, she forgives them. she hopes they will forgive her eventually.

starting fresh is not hard. it’s actually pretty easy. just take a few days to about 2 weeks to just tell yourself that every mistake you made does not define who you really are. the girl was once lost and now she found who she really is. some choices you have to make may be hard, but it will all pay off in the end :)
