don’t judge a book by it’s cover
80%(give or take a few percents) of first impressions come from the way you look: hair, make up, outfit, etc. it may not seem fair, but the way you look somewhat has something to do with your personality. for example, if you wear jean, a t-shirt, and chucks, you’re a pretty laid back person. if you wear loud clothes, you’re the opposite.
the reason why this post is called don’t judge a book by it’s cover is because you shouldn’t judge a person 100% on their looks. get to know them.
on rare occassions, the people you’ve known your whole lives may not even know you as well as they think.
i know this girl who’s family thinks they know her by the way she acts, looks, and her mood. to be honest, they don’t know her very well. she has gone through a lot since she became a teenager. her parents think they know what’s going on in the world she lives in, but they don’t. there’s more to the story than they think. she went through a great deal of depression. of course, her family didn’t notice because they were too busy focussing on other things. she kept herself distant for she didn’t want her family seeing her do the things she did to herself, like cutting and other stupid shit.
anyways, she wasn’t a bad person. just a good person who made some wrong decisions. unfortunately, people judged her on what she did and looked like. but for some people who got to know her, she is a very smart person. she’s one of the nicest, most compassionate peron i know. i just hope everyone around her sees what i see.
